Hi guys new to this site, I am building a 31 Model A truck and have a 292 with a fordomatic tranny. I need a floor mounted shifter, I know lokar sells one but I don't want to pay $200.

Anyways its kind of a budget build , let me know what you got. Or what will fit this besides a 55-57 t-bird floor shifter. Thanks for your help.

Look on ePay. I looked for a long time before going there but found a Hurst universal one for Ford-O-Matic/ Cruiseamatic for $35. Some times there are things on ePay that you can get without selling your first born son.

I assume they work, try an early Mustang if their prices hasn't gone through the roof.

I've got a universal 4-spd shifter that can be modified to work just like the universal Automatic shifters. It's an oldie, unsure of make, chrome is OK $40

I've also got a rare Fenton Shift Star shifter for a 4-spd, same can be modified, lever needs to be rechromed or run it as is. $80

I've used lots of manual trans shifters for Automatics, easy to modify and hook up.
