| | If I buy a rebop aluminum timing cover, will the stock truck-type front cradle motor mount work, or will it be too much stress on the aluminum? I'd really like to use the front mount in my little hot rod for header and steering clearance. I don't need a new timing cover, but those Rebops are nice and light. I'm planning to fabricate a new front cradle mount out of 1/4" plate, waterjet cut, and made to fit my frame rails. Here's a picture of a custom front mount, similar to the one I'm planning on building. This one however, is bolted to a stock timing cover.

| The truck mount works very well with the rebop timing cover.
