| I just recently had my '55 F100's top half of the engine rebuilt. I bought the truck a couple of years ago as a driver. I put about 50 miles on it and bent 2 pushrods . Anyway, i'm driving it to work somedays and its 50 miles round trip on the interstate. Truck Specs: original 239 heads, intake & 2 barrel carb. block is 62-64 292 w/ steel crank 3 speed manual 3.92 rear gear Also, incase i can't find one on here, can anyone give me the #'s on the tranny case to look for? (and/or) models & year range of vehicles with 3 speed manuals with overdrive that will work with the Y-block? |

| | I have a T-85 OD trans that should fit. It is the heaviest duty trans you could get with a column shift. They were used all through the 50's and early 60's in pickups and high hp cars. 1st gear is not synchro. |

| A T-86 would probably be OK too. What type of output shaft does your truck have? Splined shaft or U joint?
