| | Hello again - I bought part number B7A-5493-AKT from MACS a while back and finally got around to putting them on. I can't get them on the bar, nor do they seem to fit will in the brackerts which leads me to believe I bought the wrong ones. Measurement of the stabilizer bar seems to be 3/4". Any help is appreciated, or perhaps if there is an aftermarket part, or bushings from another application that will work. My trans shipped back to me today so i want to get this thing back together this weekend. Thanks in advance. - John

| Are the bushing the correct size - internal diameter and outside? It seems to me I have seen a lot of these bushings that were split in the flat part (that goes next to the frame) in order to get them to go on. If everything is the right size, you could do that. When compressed they should be ok.

Thanks in advance. - John John, It sounds like you have a skyliner / sunliner / ranchero / or ranchwagon stabiliser bar. All of these models are 3/4 bars. Standard bars on all other models are 5/8 which is what your kit fits You need a B7A - 5493-BKT the B kit fits 3/4 bars. You are on the right track though, and I know what you mean about fit but that is the right style bush, just the wrong id. Hope this helps JG

| | As a heads up to those looking to get better handling: I finally quit trying to install the original bar and got the 1 1/8" front bar kit from Southwest Thunderbirds. After driving the car for 4 months without any stabilizer bar installed, this is amazing. The car handles really well now - the car no longer bounces and floats all over the road and the turning is pretty tight. The only problem is the bar was slightly over bent on one side so it was tight installing, but besides that I would HIGHLY recommend this kit. Well worth the $... - John
