| | Does it look like this one - with the screw-in cover and tapped hole for the steel vacuum line fitting? 
Be sure and tell them which one you need - there is another vacuum pot with a "nipple" on the port that accepts a push on hose.

| verr: You don't have a vacuum advance? Or it does not work? If you have it, what carb are you using? Is it hooked up to the carb or mainifold? Details?

Hi i need a vacuum advance unit for 292 1958 distributor as i live in england we do not have a pep boys or napa store thanks markAssuming you need the vacuum advance chamber with the crooked arm, then the vacuum chamber from a ’58 or later 352 or 390 should also work as well as the chambers for the small block Ford (221/260/289). The spring tension in the chambers may not be exactly the same thereby making for a slightly different vacuum advance curve but that isn’t expected to be a show stopper on a Y. But nothing guarantees the replacement vacuum chambers being the same in spring tension anyhow as they tend to be pretty generic to fit a wide application of vehicles. Just be sure to carry your old one with you to the parts store to insure that you are getting a chamber that physically looks the same.
