| Guys. I came over from England to Maryland & Pennsylvania last week. Sadly I couldn't get over in time for Carlisle or Hershey car shows. But never the less, I came over, stopped with a friend in Baltimore & scoured the junkyards. Take a look at these.

This Truck is up and running with a sweet 312 Y for $1500
I know it aint got a Y Block, but I love 58 Edsels, this yard had two. This was one with me sitting on it.
All the above plus more Fords from 1950s to 1970s. Call Dan Snyder 001 717 8770390. This guys yard was shut when I went over. My mate says the place is riddled with 50s cars.
This picture of a 1959 Mercury 2 door hard top was taken 3 months ago.

Picture taken in 1960. Funnily enough it still looks like this! 1959 Mercury Monterey 312 Y Block. NORFOLK, ENGLAND, UK.

| Paul; How were the prices at this junkyard? Did you see any 56 Ford 2 door Ranch Wagons? Ron

| Unless it's a piece of stainless trim it doesn't look like there's anything usable from what I've seen. Too bad. And speaking of Edsels isn't there a guy in Pennsylvania who owns a couple acres of Edsels there to?

| Paul Any more Edsels in the yard you were at? I"m in Md and need a left front fender for my Edsel Roundup wagon. The guy in Pa who had all the Edsels passed away a few years back. The place was called "The Lemon Grove". His heirs have disposed of most of the cars as I understand it. Oldmics

| There is a guy with about forty acres of Edsels just north of Beulah, North Dakota - for the life of me I can't remember his name. But......I found him by asking about local sources of old Ford car parts at the NAPA. Ring up that store and try them out for a number at the farm. Seems like the last name started with a "w" - watson? When I drove out there to look - there was a late thirties Ford sedan (with current ND plates) parked in the driveway - and he showed me a cherry '56 Lincoln when I finally found him at one of the barns. This place has to be seen to be believed.....

Really to bad that no one has tried to salvage what is usable there. Often the reason is that the salvage yard owners don't advertise! Then at some point someone decides that no one wants any of it and it's all scrapped. Yes, that 56 Truck looks like it could be saved & the trim off the Crown Vic is probably worth something to a collector. Really a shame, 50 year old auto history left to ruin...

| There were only 2 Edsels in the yard. Both in good condition with not so much as a badge removed. The 56 F100 was a runner and could be driven out with a squirt of fuel & a battery. The yard was located near Harrisburg. The guy who owned it was a nice guy. Prices were good. I bought thye air cleaner extension that goes down to the manifold for $10. It came off a 64 Ford Panel van. He has loads of Y block bits. Dan Snyder. Phone number above.

It always amazes me to see some of this stuff still in the yards these days. Even if it rusted beyond repair theres always the stainless and mechanical parts to get. Cool pics I like it.

| Paul Attempted to call Dan Snyder at the 717-877-0390 number offered. The woman who answered the phone confirmed that the number was correct but that there was no Dan Snyder at that number. Do you have another number that you can offer for contacting Dan? Thanks,Oldmics
