I have a "Horn Wire terminal Support & Wire" (NOS) part #B8A-14308-A. It was recommended & obtained as part of a 57 to 58 steering box conversion which I've posted about on this site before. So I'll not repeat it all again. Suffice to say the conversion as far as the horn is concerned, went off the rails! My question is, does anyone have a parts or interchange manual that will tell what the part is supposed to do or fit? I thought that it was possibly a replacement for a worn 1958 horn contact ring. I have here what is supposed to be a 1958 horn contact ring & turn signal assembly, (also a 59 Edsel one that appears identical) but it does not appear to fit them. What does it do or fit? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Paul

Hello Paul! That # is only listed as fitting 58 Ford fullsize.I do not have an Edsel catalogue but if it looks the same it is likely the same item used on Edsel. In my parts book there is not a clear illustration of the complete column and wiring etc.It may be helpful if you got hold of a 58 Ford shop manual.Likely shows detail not in parts book.

Paul:

The 56/57 part called flange and pin which is the top part of an automatic column that bolts to the tube is B6A 3511-A fits 56/57 Ford and Meteor.
For 58/59 is part number B8A 3511-A fits Ford, Meteor and 59 Edsel (58 Edsel is same as t-bird)
Tube for 57 is B7A 3514-A fits Ford and Meteor
Tube for 58 is B8A 3514 -A fits Ford and Meteor
Tube for dual range is B8A-3514-B fits Ford, Meteor and Edsel
B8A-14308-A appears to be the circular horn contact which the spring brush makes contact with

Marvh: Thanks for the steering column information. Rather than dragging this out here, I'll P.M or e mail you.
