Great going Glen. Just take your time and get a feel for the car. I see easy twelves within your grasp and then solid elevens when all that Y power is unleashed. Get ready for those ‘big engine’ guys to be looking for that hidden nitrous bottle after you start making some quicker passes.

So wise to take it slow. No need to break anything while trying to ID any problems to take care of before you go blasting down the track. Hope you continue to make progress on your illness.

Just got back from the ODRR show in Panama City, had a great time and the Falcon and Y Block was a huge hit! I can't began to tell all the comments that we got, but I can tell you that we were parked between a 39 Ford coupe with a blown hemi and a 56 Tbird with a 406 tri power. We had at least twice as many people looking at the Y block and coming back to the tent to make positive comments or just to ask questions. I found out that alot of people have heard of Ted Eaton and the Y block because of his EMC efforts. I have a lot of pics and I will post some of them under the ODRR thread as I have time. Be forewarned that I had the only Y block there and some of the pics will be of "Scrubs", but they will be of cool old cars, some of them I remember as a teenager.

Chuck I was very surprised, not only the old Ford guys were checking it out and telling me their Y block stories but the younger crowd (even some of the scrub guys) were wanting to know more about it. I had a stack of Y Block magizines out with the car and they got well used. I think Bruce will be getting a few new subscribers. I have quite a few leads that I have to check out on engines, parts and cars. If anything turns out to be interesting and I don't want it, I pass it along. How about a old Bob Glidden pinto body or maybe a yard full of early 60's fords somewhere in west TX or a 57 merc with a 312 near ATL GA..
