I just watched it again (the video) and in the slides at the end you can see the trans. under the dash, although there must be a u-joint in this set-up because you can see the shaft pointing down from the back case and the engine does seen to be level in the frame.

Here's the guys re-decking one and Rick if you read this it is a Chris Craft and it will run a 390 FE.

God Bless.

Nice boat and a good video except for that awful 'muzak'! Would much rather hear the engine!!!
Crackerbox is a racing class, they all are configured like this. Can you picture 10 or so of these
racing in a chopped up lake? Hold onto that wheel!!!

FIGHT CONFORMITY!

Tim, Do you think the in/out box might have the output shaft angled down like a V drive? The whine sure sounds like spur gears rather than a planetary.

I am gonna email the guy and see if I can't get a copy of the vid without the annoying overdubbed music

You may be right.  I'd like to hear that thing without the music too.

How about a generic section for all other Y-Blocks? Not just boats but pumps, generators, welders, tractors (?) and anything else other than cars and trucks that has a Y-Block! Chuck in NH

Y's guys rule!Looking for McCullouch bracketts and parts.

Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts.

We used to have a Taylor Forklift at my old job that was made in Mississippi and was Yblock powered. It was made in 1964.
