Do you have any old belts for size? I'm assuming this is the single wide belt? Believe it or not NAPA has several different lengths of them in Gates. I think industrial or truck belts. Mine are all stored in the trailer so I can't get part numbers till the snow is gone. You can also try Paradise Wheels (online search). They have a LOT of McCullouch parts NOS and used. Chuck in NH

Y's guys rule!Looking for McCullouch bracketts and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts.

Chuck, when I called Craig a couple of months ago, he had no paxton/mcculloch belts left. I did not ask about any Gates numbers. Very soon, I will be looking for one as well. I am sure that you could measure the size you would need as you would look around the crank pulley/blower drive/idler, but not having any clear way of the spring weight and how much "give" you need when the blower kicks into hi ratio...it would be guesswork for me. Maybe Jim Moody could also be a reference?

Try contacting John Erb, johnerb@sbcglobal.net , lives in Carson City, Nevada. He has a lot of parts and is very knowledgeable on the McCullouch/Paxton subject. He's a good guy to deal with and used to beat PW's price for rebuilds. I can get the parts numbers when the weather breaks a bit but it will be a few weeks at least. I have 3 different length belts so I can run different sized top pullies. Change the boost ratio. Chuck in NH

I have to agree with Moonshadow regarding John Erb. I just came back from visiting him in Carson City and he has more superchargers and parts not to mention a complete machine shop all at his house. He is a very knowledgabe guy and will be building me a custom VS-57 from the parts I brought him and some of his own custom stuff such as impellers. I'm sure he can answer any questions you may have.

Also, a note to Moonshadow. I'll be moving to the Bangor, Maine area in mid-April so we'll be pretty close. I'd love to get together with you some time this coming summer.

Rono,

From Idaho to Bangor, ME, you will be right up in my neck of the woods. I am about 1 hr south of there. Moonshadow would be 3 to 4 hrs from there.

While you are coming I was just up in Inkom, Idaho on a job and had plenty of free time to go junk yarding. There are about a dozen trucks I would like you to bring to Maine for me. Do you have a trailer that will fit all of them?
