Drove down to Delano yesterday. Heading to Famoso Raceway in a few minutes to see what is up. Sunshine this morning and hopefully not rain tomorrow. Hunting for the Y Block stuff.

I'll be there tomorrow with Kathy, looking at the cars for cockpit ideas.

I am by myself and hope the swap meet is good. Weather has kept some away I think. I am driving a white/blue interior lowered 65 Galaxie 2drhtp. Black plates, Torque Thrust D's with Michelin black walls. I will probably be making trips back and forth the car during the meet tomorrow. I will send you my cell phone number if you want to meet.

First day at the March Meet was so and so. The threat of bad weather definitely kept spectators home. Tim, if you are coming for the swap meet tomorrow don't bother. It was very small and will be almost nothing tomorrow if what the vendors were saying is true today. Didn't see many Y block parts at all. Saw one half of a Spencer 4X2 log manifold. No Edelbrocks, only 3 or 4 scrap metal 94's. Only one row of sellers today. Racing was good. One wreck but no one hurt. The nostalgia Nitro funny cars were wickedly fast in the mid day sun. Fast qualifier time was 5.47 I think. Then weather got cold and the Top Fuel FED's came out and could not hook up. Many near crashes and cars swapping lanes. Top Fuel didn't get into the 5's. Tomorrow is supposed to have some light rain later in the afternoon. Had a guy engrave some license plate frames for my Galaxie. Instead of saying what town or dealership it say "BUMFKEGIP". I live in an area where BMW/Mercedes/Lexus/etc. drivers are very "proud" of what neck of the woods the live in. I get tired of that. Hope ya'll figure it out.

Hey Mark, Sorry we didn't meet up it's just hard when you are at one end and we are at another and there is so much to see.   We had a good time though and saw some Y stuff at the swap meet although it was only 6 pieces and they didn't label these manifold correctly. I hope if someone buys them they know the difference.

No worries. I hooked up with some other ex-Ford Dealer wrenches telling stories and hoping one of the FunnyCars/FEDs would hook but I finally left at 4 or so. Couldn't stand waiting for something happen any longer. Just got back. I think some of the rams horns in your photos have Lincoln bolt patterns if I am seeing them right. I don't know if you got there early enough to see the factory original 64 Tbolt wheelstand and run a low 9 or high 8 (can't remember for sure). Impressive. The Ford contingent was pretty strong altogether. Also liked the black 40 Coupe with the cammer in it with A/C no less. I am back at general labor tomorrow. We are remodeling our home and I am moving all the furniture, etc. out of the house into a POD storage unit.
