| 1956 Ford Crown Victoria with 292 Y-block. My front parking brake cable broke near the parking brake pulley. I took the park brake mechanism out and bead blasted and painted it. I am waiting on a new front cable to replace the broken one and I need help/advice on installing the new front parking brake cable. Thanks in advance for your help. Danny

If I remember correctly (from fixing the front cable in my Bird, the clue to the while thing is the removal of the pin (which is also a stop) from the sliding part. After that is out, you can access the spot where the cable is anchored to the sliding part. In my instance, it came out pretty easy. A new pin may?? be supplied with the cable, but I think I just reused the old pin.

To replace the inner and outer which is the way it comes new you also need to unbolt the clamp which the nuts are accessible under the front fender.
