I have a question, I am wondering If anybody knows what the dimensions of the the hardened exaust seat insert is,I am from Ireland and the machine shop has no experience of Y blocks, he is afraid of cutting out too much and damaging the head. It is a 1959 292 but the head are stamped coae with 1.64 inlet valves ps can you buy the inserts. This is a great site ,I have learned so much, Iprobably should be looking for the proper set of heads but the thoughts of postage to Ireland and the weight of two cylinder heads so i will have to use the one I have. any information would be really appreciated. Thanks again, Ken Whelan.

TeeBird Products (tee-bird.com) sell the hardened valve seat inserts.
They have an online catalogue.
I have found them to be good people to deal with.
