hey guys so i finally put the headers on the truck looks great but i noticed i have about half an inch of space between the spark plugs and the headers does any one know of a shorter spark plug i can put on there to give me the space i need also what is the spark plug gap for the 272 thanks guys any help would be great

I don't know about shorter spark plugs. I made a spark plug socket. It's a nut welded to a socket I cut to length and drilled to fit over the porcelain. I use it with a ratcheting box end wrench.



An offset box end wrench works but you have to be careful that you don't round off the plug. I think Dennis uses a pipe wrench.

Good memory Charlie. I use an 8" pipe wrench over the outside of my socket. It's a shorter socket 1/2" drive so the plug sticks through the socket.
