| | 1957 Ford truck shop manual shows a 302 LYB with what I call a " top hat " air cleaner. Cold air induction was an option not shown in this illustration. Top hat air cleaner is about 6 3/4 high x 9 dia, top 1/3 is slightly smaller dia than bottom 2/3. No snorkel, air enters gap along outer edge of underside. Was same top hat air cleaner used in LYB medium trucks 1958-64 ? Would top hat air cleaner fit under hood of 1953-56 F-100 with LYB engine with 1957 Lincoln / Merc intake manifold ? |
