| Hi, I just stumbled upon this message board. I have recently aquired this Y block powered model T. Some of you may recognize it from the HAMB, if you're on there.
Plans are to work out the bugs, get it in paint and redo the interior. The engine is a 292, with 3 2's on a offy intake, mercury valve covers. It's hooked to a 57 ranchero 3 speed and an 8 inch rear.

| Thanks. I added some info. I won't make it out there, Ohio is a little far for me right now. I live in Arizona. Sounds cool though. I'm new to Y's. I've always been a chevy guy... I have owned a stock model T and my brother owned a 390 powered 67 galaxy. Thats the extent of my ford experience until now. Just trying to learn more about Y blocks. They seem like neat engines. I really am enjoying mine...

| Mike: Yes, welcome to the site! We do hope you enjoy your "Ford" engine. The best expertice available is on this site. Also check out some of the links, including Y-Block Magazine. On the Offy intake, if you just want nostalgia that's fine, but if you are looking to improve performance significantly, the Offy is a very poor interior design. Better off with Edlbrock or maybe Fenton. But in fact, 4 Barrel setups generally are better.

| Thanks for all the tips guys!
Ya, I'm not sure what I'm going to do as far as induction. I made a mistake though, my intake isn't offy it's a fenton. Regardless, I realize a single 4 barrell would be easier to tune and would probably run alot better. I may go that route. This engine is basically all stock internally, but rebuilt.
