| | Pete, I used a single wire Delco on mine. You should be able to modify the original bracket to mount the alternator. Might be a problem with the belt size though, they used a smaller width belt on the alternator than was OE on the truck. Ted: can this info be organized into a tech article? Charted by vehicle, alternator choice?

| | I have allredy installed the single wire alternator, modified/made brackets to suit. I would like to fit A/C and things start to get a little tricky for space, however I have just picked up a spare motor and will probably use that in the workshop to manufacture my own bracket. If someone could put all this information in a word file and send it to me, I’ll get Jim to put it in the Tech section. That section is Jim’s area of expertise so He’d be the one ultimately adding it to the Technical Section. If I don’t receive it from anyone in the near future in a ‘doesn’t need much editing’ form, then I’ll go ahead and put it together. By then maybe there will be some additional information added. By the way, I’ve been running the one wire Delco on my ’55 since 1990 and haven’t looked back. Works great and simple to wire in.

| | A link I found somewhere was on www.ranchwagon.com/tech/alt/alt.htm A little crude as in using threaded rod and washers for spacers. A long bolt and spacers look a lot better. Also how to hook up a 63amp GM alternator with the Ford wiring was there T M

| i just recieved my bracket for my 55 wagon from from don hyde.It looks similiar to the speedway bracket in the above photo.Mr. Hyde was really nice and very helpful. he might have an answer for you about your f100? thanks Don!
